Pre-Production Copy of By of the Queen IN HAND!!!

Hey Everyone!

I got a surprising email on Thursday of last week, stating that I was going to be getting a Pre-production copy of By Order of the Queen in hand via FedEx at the beginning of this week.  I said nothing online about it because I frankly didn't believe it.  We also were sent the Kickstarter Coin as well in a separate package.

And yeah.... WE GOT IT this morning.  Insane speed.  And the quality of what we are looking at is exactly what we were hoping for.  We made a video of our unboxing uploaded to Youtube here:

Next steps:

We also have the digital PNP files ready and will be sending everyone those files within the next day or so.  

Our manufacturer will start printing the game and we'll be able to then ship them all to you.  There will be some timing that is dependent on where you are in the world, but shipping should start shortly after the games are finished printing.  The TLDR version of explaining shipping is that: SPOILER: you guys are gonna get By Order of the Queen way before October.  =)

Moving onto the Physical Manufactured Copy Stage

Hey all!

Our team has been continually working with our manufacturer moving forward on By Order of the Queen. We've finished approving the digital proofs and are now moving into a stage where they will create one copy and send it to us for physical approval.

This is gonna be awesome! We have opted for many high quality components and are excited to see the whole package in one piece. Once we get it in hand I'll make sure to drop you all an update, probably a quick unboxing video.  =)

Not much else to report except some things for our (my team's) future:

1) We are planning a small KS campaign for a side idea that Zachary Vail and I had.  Its a simple accessory upgrade for a favored game of ours and it will not disrupt our By Order of the Queen timeline in any way. 

2) We've scheduled out our conventions and events that we will be attending for this year and we're looking forward to shaking babies and kissing hands while sharing our passion for games with you all.  We'll be going to Gencon, PAX Unplugged, PAX West, DragonCon, and ETX. (those last two are local seattle conventions).  No current plans to do any others but we are kinda always looking.  =)

3) We are definitely making more games and are currently closing up one and beginning the work on another. Many of you had questions around whether or not we will make more games in the Tessandor world, and the short answer is yes....and then some other ones too. Lots in the works, and again, it shouldn't impact the timeline for By Order of the Queen in any way.

Pledge Manager - Finish It Up!

We still have about 100 people that have not filled out the Pledge Manager for By Order of the Queen.  We can't send the game to you if you haven't filled out your address in the system, so let me know if you've lost the link, need any help, or have any questions.

We got our board sample for the playmat and it looks great!  Previously we just had the cover art, seen at the top of the picture.  The Board playmat turned out awesome and we can't wait to get them all out to you.  Funny enough.....since we are going to be sending any add-ons separately, some of you will be getting these before you get By Order of the Queen.  It will be like a cruel teaser to you people that ordered the board playmat.....sorry.  =(

We ordered a single Playmat from a known company as a test and this is the result:

We love it! It turned out great. The quality is great as well, so we'll be ordering a bunch of these and the board playmat once we get the Backerkit pledge manager all set.

Fill out your Pledgemanager Survey!

We currently have about 10% of our backers that have not finished the survey to fill in their address and select any add-ons.  Make sure you take that link that was sent to you by Backerkit and confirm your address.  If you need your link, or never got your email in the first place, message us and we'll get you squared away.  =)

Moving right along! By Order of the Queen add-on information

Hey guys,

We're getting everything done on our end and as a weekly update, I thought I'd let you all know what is happening on our end as we move forward:

Pledge Manager

Backerkit is a great supplement to Kickstarter and we've had a number of orders come in with and without add-ons.  More importantly though, you'll want to make sure to answer that Backerkit survey to confirm your shipping address.  That is the #1 thing we want to know from you to get your copy of By Order of the Queen to you.

For Add-ons, if you ordered our previous game JunKing, it is very likely we will just send it to you right away.  We've already sent out about half of these additional JunKing copies to people that have ordered them.

If you ordered the Playmats of either the cover art or the game board, we are custom ordering those currently.  So your orders through Backerkit are helping us make an accurate order.  What we have done for this is we ordered samples from a couple of different companies so we can compare quality and we'll make sure to order the best ones we can get our hands on.  We haven't received the samples yet, but I'm hoping we will soon.   We'll let you know for sure.  =)   Once we get the final Playmats in hand, we'll send those out to anyone that ordered them, along with anything else they've ordered.

Other work for the JSG team

We are planning tons of stuff this year for our little team.  We've got conventions, events, panels, and other games coming down so if you hear any whispers on the winds about other stuff we are involved in, believe the hype.  It's hard to put a real footprint in the ground in this industry but we are doing our best representing what we believe is the best about the gaming community.

Pledge Manager ready!

The Backerkit Pledge Manager is finished and set up, and you all should be getting a separate email soon from Backerkit directly with the link to your "survey".  

Very simply, take that link in the email and once you have selected any Add-Ons you would like, you can confirm your shipping address. If you see anything weird when filling out your order, let us know and we will work to resolve it as soon as possible.

For Add-Ons we had a number of suggestions and requests and we decided to add copies of our first game JunKing, along with player mats of the cover art and the By the Order of the Queen game board.  We also have an option to buy additional copies of the coloring book just in case you have more people in your house that would like their own copy.  Keep in mind that since they will be shipping from the USA, in some cases there will be additional shipping charges.
